To ensure that every rural worker feels that his or her work is needed by the community and the state, UkrAgroCom and Hermes Trading are actively involved in the social development of localities.
This is especially successful when the efforts and desires of business, local authorities and rural communities are combined. “UkrAgroCom was one of the main investors in the Moshorino-Nova Praha high-pressure gas pipeline. With significant support from UkrAgroCom and Hermes Trading, the company is repairing roads in many villages and the district center, reopening preschools and opening additional kindergarten groups. The company constantly cares about the education sector. Heating systems, roofs, canteens, gymnasiums are being repaired in secondary schools and kindergartens, and material resources are being improved: new furniture, specialized physics and chemistry classrooms, new canteen equipment, computer equipment, and sports equipment. In addition to the traditional assistance, schoolchildren in Nova Praha and Izmailivka villages and the surrounding villages received new buses from UkrAgroCom.
The group’s funds are now being used to implement the regional School Desk program.
Thanks to the combined efforts of local authorities and local businesses, the construction of the Moshoryne-Nova Praha-Holovkivka gas pipeline (29.4 km), which was launched in 2005, was completed in a short time.
The first stage of the Moshoryne-Nova Praha high-pressure gas supply pipeline (13.8 km) was completed in 2010. This made it possible to gasify the homes of more than 7,000 residents, secondary schools, pre-schools, cultural centers, a hospital and other infrastructure facilities in the village. The total investment amounted to almost UAH 7 million, including UAH 2.1 million in subventions from the state budget, UAH 1.8 million from the district budget, UAH 298 thousand from the budgets of village and town councils, and significant sponsorship contributions, including over UAH 2 million invested by UkrAgroCom.
The investments of UkrAgroCom and Hermes-Trading, which amounted to almost UAH 10 million last year alone, not only ensured high rates of gasification in the village but also significantly reduced the cost of connecting the houses of the residents of Holovkivka to the gas network.
Now, with the arrival of heat, UkrAgroCom’s organizational involvement and financial support, the gasification of Golovkivka streets is actively continuing.
Two years after UkrAgroCom’s operations began, in 2002, the foundation stone for the future church was laid, and in 2005 the village center was decorated with the majestic Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah (architect V. Rak), built at the expense of UkrAgroCom’s patronage.
According to legend, a wooden church was built on this site in the early seventeenth century, and in 1870 a stone church of the Life-Giving Trinity was built next to it, which was completely destroyed in 1936. Thus, the Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah became not only a real decoration of Holovkivka, but also a new milestone in the spiritual and moral life of its residents; a center of spirituality not only for the residents of Holovkivka, but also for the surrounding villages and Oleksandria. Nowadays, residents from other districts come to worship here on major holidays.
The rector of St. Elijah’s Church, Archimandrite Christopher, always blesses Ukragrokom employees for good deeds, and the company’s management takes care of the church and its parish, assists in the arrangement of the premises, and created a real exotic oasis on the adjacent territory.
The residents of Checheliyivka village in the Petrivskyi district of Kirovohrad region were also keen to restore the ancient Holy Protection Church, which had long been in a dilapidated state. Although the initiative group to revive the church had been raising charitable funds for years, the restoration of the church would not have been possible without UkrAgroCom’s significant financial contribution, which exceeded UAH 26 thousand in 2011 alone.
Sports occupies a special place: it is loved and invested in.
In 2008, a sports and recreation complex built at the expense of UkrAgroCom according to the latest European standards was inaugurated, which includes a 90-by-60-meter stadium with comfortable spectator stands and a VIP stand, a tennis court, a gym, locker rooms and amenities for athletes and referees, and a sauna. A hotel is under construction.
The stadium has become a favorite venue for cultural and sporting events not only in the village, but also at the district and regional levels.
Volleyball is represented by the women’s school team and the men’s team of UkrAgroCom, which have also won prizes at district and regional competitions.
